Institute for Communications Technology

 

The Institute for Communications Technology (IfN) is part of Faculty 5 for Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics of TU Braunschweig.

 

The IfN currently employs 35 scientific assistants (portion of third-party funds 73%) and 11 technical and administrative officers (portion of third-party funds 27%).
 

In the field of research, 20 students on average are working on their thesis (e.g. in 2012: 37 study works, bachler, master and diploma theses) and at least 10 graduate assistants are employed; thus, about 74 persons, on average, are working at the IfN at the same time.

 
The IfN carries out research within the scope of 30 projects, among those are:

  • 4 international joint research projects
  • 4 EU research projects with international partners
  • Research projects with BMWi and DFG
  • Numerous projects with industrial partners
