Description: In cooperation with a university and a research center in Israel and a university in Palestine one of the project goals is the development of a mobile system for digitization of Arabic handwritten historic documents which shall be in use already in the course of the project. This system helps historians to archive, process, and search in such documents. Our tasks in this cooperative project are the preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, pattern recognition, and document analysis.
